SYNOPSIS:
“The Two South American Tangos is a fantastic combination of two familiar tangos, El Choclo by Ángel Villoldo and La Comparsita by Matos Rodriguez. El Choclo which means Corn Cob in Spanish is a popular song written by  Ángel Villoldo, an Argentine musician. Allegedly written the song in honour of and taking its title from the nickname of the proprietor of a nightclub, who was known as “”El Choclo”, which became one of the most popular tangos in Argentina. La Comparsita which translates as “ the little parade” was first played in public in an old Café La Giralda in Montevideo with no lyrics and originally intended it to be a march. Lyrics was then written in by Argentine Pascual Contursi and since then, it became a big hit and became associated in a lot of tangos scene portrayed in films and played by countless orchestras, it was considered the most widely known tango song in the world.”
